The people rising to the top deserve some love, as they are the hardest workers, and many of them are surprise names. The IC and US Titles are the cornerstones of that division of people. And a good number of these rising names have become main event names.

This list will only chronicle US Champions in WWE. A WCW list will be worked on in conjunction Ken Anarchy.

Top Intercontinental Champions

10.) Shaggy Rogers [1970-1985] (Shaggy wanted a way to really be a star...so he was awarded a new Title in 1979. Of course Shaggy got a LOT more than he asked for. Feuds with names such as Vandal Savage, Prince Namor, Hulk, and The Joker scarred the poor boy for life. But it was actually a very non-scary Elmer Fudd who actually took The Belt away.)

9.) Bugs Bunny [1961-1969; 1978-1981; 1994] (Two time Champion, the third ever Champion; and came back to become the first two time Champion when he won it in 1994 from Goku in a WWE/UCA feud.)

8.) Alvin Seville [1983-1989; 1992-1994] (Two time Champion, winning once in 1988 after his betrayal and in 1992 during an amazing return in the middle of the year; Alvin's feuds in '88 with He-Man, Thundarr, Michaelangelo, and others while in 1992 his bombastic personality got him in trouble with people such as Piccolo, Red Skull, and even Stupendous Man (Calvin).)

7.) Son Goku [1984-1986; 1989-2000] (After being World Champion, Goku won The Title but lost it to a heel Bugs Bunny in UCA, starting the first WWE/UCA rivalry. The summer feud elevated The Title in a way matching Razor Ramon vs. Shawn Michaels in that same year.)

6.) Sonic the Hedgehog [1990-1996] (One thing he can claim.over Mario is being a better Intercontinental Champion, as Sonic would always seem to match Mario in a battle of IC supremacy...but Sonic came out on top the most. Holding The Title twice and feuding with Mario, Eggman, Bowser, and even gave Luigi his first solo feud in 1992. Mario vs. Sonic is a classic IC Title Match at WrestleMania XIII.)

5.) Linus van Pelt [1998-2000; 2008-present] (Winning The IC Title in a big Leap of Faith moment in a Ladder Match a month after his return in '08, he would win The Toon World Title from Henry Wong in the next month at Armageddon and then The Tag Titles with Henry in the next month to become a Triple Crown winner in the shortest of time possible while holding it all simultaneously, the first to do so.)

4.) The Joker [1978-2001] (His two reigns as Champion in saw him defeat early 80s main eventers like Wolverine, Flash, Spider-Man, Baloo, Superman, Batman, and others from the Comic Age of the Late 70s and early 80s. Of course he would get I to an age old feud with his longtime rival, Batman, in 1982 before losing The Belt to The Dark Knight at MSG. His second reign in 1994-1995 was filled with feuds with Batman, Max Goof, and even a classic feud with Luigi that culminated in Luigi's IC Title win upset at WrestleMania XI.)

3.) Ichigo Kurosaki [2001-2005] (A four time Champion that should have won a World Title in WWE, his feud with Henry Wong from '03-'04 is one of the best in The Division.)

2.) Ranma Saotome [1990-2002; 2005-2013] (The Midcard King before Raimundo, Ranma has won The Belt five times and even held it the longest with a year long 1995-1996 reign. The second closes on the list to ever winning a World Title without ever winning one.)

1.) Raimondo Pedrosa [2000-present] (A seven time IC Champion and the dubbed "Midcard King" in WWE's Animation Division.)

Top United States Champions in WWE

10.) Gingka Hagane [2012-present] (The first Anime United States Champion, Gingka made history and then led The Bully Fighting Front to a victory over The Bullies at Clash of the Titans.)

9.) Sora [2001-2008; 2013-present] (Sora gained two reigns that showed what kind of a solo star he could be, in a similar vein as Ben Ten but without the World Title.)

8.) Virgil Hawkins/Static [2000-2005] (Two reigns made this midcard king royalty as he feuded with big names such as Wolfgang, Nigel Uno, Wally Beetles, Chase Young, and more in WWE's crowded midcard of 2003-2004.)

7.) Robin (Dick Greyson) [1971-present] (The longest tenured member of The WWE roster is also a two time Champion. Greyson, under his Teen Titans gimmick, amassed three US Title reigns and was seen as the face of that Belt besides Wolfgang for a while.)

6.) Ben Tennyson [2005-present] (It was Ben winning The US Title in 2006 that split The Heroes You Need, and it was The US Title reign that proved Ben was more than capable of truly holding his own in the ring. Before he either needed The Omnitrix or Danny to help him. Now, he proved he was a lone star and could back up every word he said. And right after this six month reign came a World Title.)

5.) Nigel Uno [2002-2009] (Nigel, before he won The Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 21, was a prominent US Championship rival for Wolfgang. The second Champion after the 2003 reactivation, Nigel would make it his duty to take The Belt from The Bully whenever he won it. This made him a two time Champion.)

4.) Jake Long [2004-present] (Jake was a tag team with Aang in The Far East Connection, which Naruto joined later for The Triple Tag Titles, but Jake also fought for The US Title against Phantom, and had one of the best feuds for The Belt. And then went against Phantom and Ben Ten for The Belt. A two time Champion.)

3.) Danny Phantom [2004-present] (After winning The Belt in 2005, Danny himself became embroiled in the US Title scene. Winning it three times, Phantom's first reign in 2005-2006 gave way to arguably the greatest feud for The Belt in WWE, Phantom vs. Jake Long. Their classic five star match at WrestleMania 22 was a great way for The Belt to raise its status.)

2.) Lil' D [2006-2008] (Winning The US Title twice, and at one point unifying The US and IC Titles during his big midcard feud with Lina from 2007 and 2008, and becoming a former World Champion in 2007 didn't hurt either)

1.) Wolfgang [1996-present] (Winning it 5 times, the most out of anyone, Wolfgang has repeatedly called The US Title "his baby" throughout the active periods of The Belt since 2003.)

Top Guys Who Have Never Won a World Title

10.) Ichigo Kurosaki [2001-2005] (Four Intercontinental Title reigns and he was destined to be at the top. But several injuries and a Yusuke and Anime Dynasty return negated that and sent him packing exclusively to UWE.)

9.) Brock [1996-present] (Brock has always been the bridesmaid and never the bride. He wins IC Titles and Tag Titles, and even managed a Cruiserweight Title. But he can't win The World Title. Hence why he betrayed Ash and joined The Rookie Revolution.)

8.) Sora [2001-2008; 2013-present] (He fought for The Belt a few times but Sora was never successful in winning it. He has won every other Title he could win except for The World Title.)

7.) Alvin Seville [1983-1989; 1992-1994] (Alvin had the charisma, ego, rockstar personality, love of the crowd, and ring talent as good as anyone, and yet while he was great as Intercontinental Champion he didn't win The World Title from his one shot against Megaman in 1988.)

6.) Otto Rocket [2000-2006] (Otto has won IC, US, Tag Team, Hardcore, and European Titles but couldn't get his hands on any World Titles post ECW. A VKM conspiracy?)

5.) Takeru "TK" Takaishi [1998-present] (The Light-Heavyweight/Cruiserweight Divisions were his domain, but he couldn't find anyway to win a World Title, and he has had the most shots out of anyone, just barely edging out Raimundo)

4.) Vandal Savage [1973-1985] (Arguably the top heel of his time, Vandal Savage was notorious for making plots to win The World Title but somehow the heroes would always find a way to win.)

3.) Piccolo [1988-1999] (Piccolo has won Intercontinental Titles, retired Commander Duke, beaten Goku in a feud, and even founded The Hardcore Division...but he always came up short in World Title matches.)

2.) Ranma Saotome [1990-2002; 2005-2013] (He has tried so hard to win one in his career, but either came up short or Yusuke was holding The Belt)

1.) Raimundo Pedrosa [2000-present] (He's won two Royal Rumbles along with countless other World Title shots, but he always falls victim to The World Title curse.)
